Why I Started My Own Law Firm
After more than two decades practicing business law—most recently as an equity partner at Gesmer Updegrove LLP in Boston—I’ve taken a bold and meaningful step: I’ve launched Nesbit Law PLLC, a solo practice built to empower entrepreneurs, startups, and growth-stage companies.
This isn’t just a new chapter in my legal career — it’s a return to my entrepreneurial roots. Nesbit Law is the firm I’ve always wanted to build: modern, agile, grounded in deep experience, and driven by a client-first philosophy. I’m here to provide founders and business leaders with the thoughtful legal counsel they need to move forward with clarity and confidence.
I believe in building long-term partnerships. I take the time to understand each client’s goals, challenges, and values — because great legal advice should support not just the transaction in front of you, but the future you’re working so hard to create.
To those who’ve supported me on this journey — especially my wife Nicole and our three kids — thank you. I’m excited for what comes next, and grateful for the opportunity to help innovative ideas grow into enduring businesses.
Let’s build something great together.
